Whenever I create a .wacz file using the Archiveweb.page Browser extension and I load up the .wacz in Replayweb.page, there is a long initial load time.
Hank and I talked a little about the problem here Conifer.rhizome.org having problems today? - #6 by Hank and Hank even says he can reproduce the long initial load time issue.
I had hoped that in the newer releases of Replayweb.page or perhaps Archiveweb.page, this issue would be fixed but so far it’s still been the same. What’s strange is every once in a while, Archiveweb.page will produce a .wacz file that loads super fast, but it happens very sporadically and I can’t recreate when it will produce a fast .wacz file or a slow one.
In this example above, there are three .wacz files created with the Archiveweb.page browser extension. The 1st and 3rd load fast, while the 2nd one loads slowly. It has nothing to do with the file size because the 1st loads faster even though it is a larger file size than the 2nd. If someone can find a pattern and recognize what is causing the slow initial load time, I would appreciate it very much.
I am using Windows 11 btw.
