I have read the post on Custom Vimeo Behavior Documentation, which is very helpful for a related case to the one I am working on, but isn’t quite what I need. I am trying to capture a faithful copy of a graduate show site which contains a lot of portfolio pages illustrated with embedded video, from vimeo and youtube.
The player has to be clicked to activate it, then clicked again to play for both, although I think YT will probably refuse to play, it may be possible to complete the action for vimeo embeds.
NB: I’m going to be away for a while, so won’t be able to reply until 1st December - but thanks in advance to anyone who has any advice!
One useful experiment in situations like this can be to use ArchiveWebPage to manually create the archive while clicking on things and then see if it plays back. If things work ok then that’s a good indication that developing a custom behavior will help.
I tried this with the profile site and unfortunately the Vimeo videos didn’t seem to play back during replay I just tested Vimeo videos and they seem to archive/replay OK, so maybe it’s an issue with how these are embedded? I don’t think a behavior on its own will be enough to ensure that these videos are archived?
