Replayweb.page - using URL without file extension

Hi all,

I’ve been playing around with Replayweb.page, trying to open a warc.gz that’s accessible through a URL that doesn’t include the filename. Loading the file locally works fine, but the URL throws up the “Please match the requested format” dialog. Is there a way to circumvent this, by specifying the format through an option attribute or other mechanism?

Could you share the URL with us?

Either way, I’d highly recommend you create a WACZ file with py-wacz and host that if you are able to. It will be much more performant and you won’t have to index the WARC every time.
